How plans work, what is included, and how to upgrade or downgrade.

Plans give you control over how you pay for Shopstar. The Commission Only plan has no monthly fee and charges 6% per transaction. The Subscription plan swaps most of that for a monthly fee plus a lower 2% per-transaction cut — it pays off at higher volumes. You can switch between them at any time.

Switch between plans

    Open Billing

    Click your avatar in the top right of your dashboard, then Billing. The Overview tab shows your current plan in the Billing Model section, with the per-transaction rate underneath.

    Click the plan you want

    The two plans appear side by side as cards — Commission Only and Subscription. Click the card you want to switch to. The break-even hint at the bottom shows roughly when Subscription becomes cheaper than Commission Only based on your store.

    Confirm the switch

    A short confirmation appears. Once you accept, your billing model is updated immediately and you will see a toast confirming the change.

Subscription starts with a trial

When you switch to Subscription, your billing trial activates first — meaning you get a window to try it before charges kick in. If you decide it is not for you, switching back to Commission Only is a single click.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose features when I downgrade?

If a feature is only on a higher plan, you lose access when you downgrade. Your data stays safe — it is just hidden until you upgrade again.

How much does each plan charge per sale?

Commission Only is 6% per transaction with no monthly fee. Subscription is 2% per transaction plus a monthly fee. The break-even point depends on your store volume — the Billing page shows it for your account.

Can I switch back to Commission Only later?

Yes. Click the Commission Only card from the Billing Model section at any time. Your data stays safe — any features that are only on the Subscription plan become hidden until you switch back.
