Customer accounts make shopping faster and friendlier. Returning customers do not have to retype their details, and they can see all their orders, downloads, bookings, and memberships in one place.

How accounts fit into your checkout

Guest checkout is always available on your storefront — a shopper can complete an order with just an email and a delivery address. Customers can also sign in (or sign in for the first time) to keep their order history attached to one account.

Some product types naturally need an account to make sense: memberships sign the buyer in as a member, and event tickets that you check in at the door work best when each ticket holder has an account. Those flows nudge the customer to sign in or create an account during checkout.

No passwords to remember

There are no customer passwords. Each sign-in uses a one-time verification code sent to the customer's email, so there is nothing for them to forget and nothing for you to reset.

Frequently asked questions

How does a customer sign in?

They click Sign in on your storefront and enter their email. We email them a 6-digit verification code; they type it in and they are signed in for the session.

What if a customer never gets their code?

Ask them to check their spam folder and double-check the email address they entered. They can request a fresh code from the same sign-in screen — each one is valid for a short window.

Can I see what a customer has bought?

Yes. Open the customer in your Customers area and you see every order they have placed, total spent, average order value, and contact details.
