Payouts are the deposits that move money from your sales into your bank account. Stripe and Paystack each run them on their own schedules, and the full payout history lives inside whichever provider your store is connected to.
How often will I be paid?
Most merchants are on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. New merchants usually start on a slightly longer schedule and move to faster payouts after their first few weeks of clean trading. The exact timing is set inside your payment provider account, not on Shopstar.
See your payouts
Click Payments in your sidebar to see your payment connection — whether it is active, what step you are on if you are still setting up, and the bank account on file. Detailed payout history (each deposit, when it was sent, the orders it included) lives inside Stripe or Paystack — sign in to the provider you are connected with to see the full list.
Refresh your status when something feels off
There is a Sync payment provider status button on the Payments page. If a verification was just approved or a payout just landed, tap it to pull fresh status from your provider straight away.
Keep your bank details up to date
If you change banks, update your bank account in your payment provider straight away. Payouts to a closed account get bounced back and can take a few days to recover.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my payout less than the sale total?
Payouts have the payment processing fee already deducted. Refunds during the payout period also lower the amount.
Can I get paid faster?
Faster payout schedules are available once your account has a track record. Check with your payment provider directly to request a faster schedule.
A payout was reversed — what happened?
Usually because the bank account details were wrong or the account was closed. Update the bank account in your payment provider and they will retry.
Can I be paid in a different currency?
Yes, if your payment provider supports it. Both Stripe and Paystack let you set the currency your bank account expects.
My order shows as paid but I have not been paid yet — why?
Card payments take time to settle. Your provider typically holds them for a short period before releasing the next payout. The Payments page on Shopstar reflects what your provider has confirmed; the full timeline is on the provider side.
