Whether you are running a workshop, a launch party, a class, or a music night — ticketing handles the selling, the QR codes, and the door scanning for you.
Set up an event
- 1
Open Products and click Add product
In the sidebar, click Products, then click the Add product dropdown in the top right and pick Ticket.
- 2
Fill in the ticket details
In the Ticket Details section, enter the Event start date & time, an optional end date, and the Venue. Use the Venue field for the address; put parking, dress code, and doors-open notes in the product description so customers see them on the ticket page.
- 3
Set the event capacity
The Capacity field caps the total attendees across the whole event — tickets stop selling automatically when you hit it.
- 4
Add ticket types if you want tiers
In the Variants area, switch on Multiple Ticket Types and add tiers like General Admission, Early Bird, or VIP. Each tier has its own price and stock, which acts as a per-tier cap underneath the event capacity.
- 5
Save and start selling
Choose Active in the sidebar and click Save Product. Customers buy tickets like any other product. Each ticket includes a unique QR code in the confirmation email.
Check guests in at the door
On event day, open Ticketing from your sidebar on a phone or tablet, tap into the event, and hit Check-in mode. Scan the QR code on each guest ticket as they arrive. Already used tickets are flagged so you spot duplicates.
Pre-print your guest list
In case Wi-Fi is unreliable at the venue, export the guest list before the event so you have a backup to tick people off manually.
Want the full check-in walkthrough?
See the linked article below ("Check guests in at the door") for how scanning, manual lookup, and the check-in-only role work on event day.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell tickets to multiple events?
Yes. Each event is its own product. You can run several events at once and customers can buy from any of them.
What if someone wants a refund?
You can refund tickets from the order page like any other product. Set your event refund policy clearly in your store policies so expectations are clear.
Can my team check guests in too?
Yes — invite team members and give them the check-in role. That role only lets them scan tickets in Ticketing, not see the rest of your dashboard.
Can attendees transfer their ticket to a friend?
The simplest path is for the original buyer to forward the confirmation email — the friend can use the QR code at the door. There is no separate self-serve transfer flow today, so if you need the name changed, get in touch with the buyer through the order and update them manually.
