Your branding is what makes your store feel like yours. The good news: you only need a few simple pieces to look polished and professional.
What you need before you start
- A logo image (PNG works best, with a transparent background if possible)
- Your main brand color in hex code (for example, #5A77D8)
- An optional accent color for buttons and highlights
- A two-or-three sentence brand bio that introduces you to visitors
Apply your branding
- 1
Open Branding from your sidebar
Click Branding in the left sidebar of your dashboard.
- 2
Upload your logo
In the Identity section, click into the Store logo uploader and drop in your file. Aim for at least 400 pixels on the long edge so it stays sharp on every screen.
- 3
Write your brand bio
Still in Identity, fill in Brand bio — up to 320 characters that introduce your brand to visitors. It appears in your shopfront sidebar, so write directly to the customer.
- 4
Set your brand colors
Open the Colors section. The Essentials are Background, Primary, and Accent — start with those. The Additional tokens (Foreground, Card, Secondary, Muted, Muted text) let you fine-tune once you are happy with the basics. The live preview updates as you go.
- 5
Pick your fonts
Open the Typography section and choose a heading font and a body font. We have curated a small list that pairs well together — you cannot go wrong.
- 6
Click Save changes
Hit Save changes (the button stays in view on the sticky studio bar). Your storefront refreshes with your new look.
Don't have a logo yet?
Use your store name in a nice font and call it done. Plenty of successful stores launched with a wordmark and added a graphic logo later.
Frequently asked questions
What file size should my logo be?
Each image you upload can be up to 10 MB. For a logo, you usually want something far smaller — a PNG under 1 MB loads fastest. Aim for a clean source file with a transparent background.
Can I have a different logo for dark backgrounds?
Not today — there is one Store logo upload, used everywhere. Pick a logo that reads well on your chosen background colour, or upload a version with a small white outline so it works on both light and dark surfaces.
Will customers see my branding in their emails?
Yes. Your logo and brand colors automatically apply to order confirmations, shipping notifications, and other customer emails.
